London City Lionesses attacker Karin Muya has signed a new deal with the club for next season.

The Pride announced news of the deal via an update on their official club website this evening.

Muya joined London City Lionesses last summer following a spell with Serie A Femminile TIMvision club San Marino. The forward has made a huge impact in her first season in England, featuring in 19 Barclays Women’s Championship matches and contributing four goals. If not for an injury, Muya may have been an ever-present for The Pride this season. The player helped London City Lionesses to achieve their highest-ever league finish of second place in the Barclays Women’s Championship in 2021/2022.

Muya is very much a key player for The Pride and the club have moved quickly to retain her services for next season.

After signing on again at Princes Park for 2022/2023, Muya said “I’m delighted to continue my journey at London City.

“I’m excited to grow, stride forward and build from last season and achieve even more success at a club with great ambition.”

Muya follows goalkeeper Shae Yanez in agreeing new terms with London City Lionesses this week. Further news of contract extensions will be announced by London City Lionesses in due course.
