Defender Hayley Nolan has become the latest player to sign a new contract with Barclays Women’s Championship club London City Lionesses for next season.
The Pride announced the news this evening via a post on their official club website. Nolan follows goalkeeper Shae Yanez and forward Karin Muya in signing on with the Dartford-based club for another year.
Nolan was brought to London City Lionesses in summer 2020 by former head coach Lisa Fallon. The Republic of Ireland international was initially seen as a midfield player but she has most recently found herself occupying a defensive role for the side. Nolan has made 29 appearances for The Pride in the Barclays Women’s Championship, although that total would have been higher if not for injury.
After signing on again with London City Lionesses, Nolan said “I am really excited to continue my journey here at LCL. It’s a club that continuously strives for the highest of standards while helping players to always push for their 1% gains.
“I have to echo my quote from last year and say that this is one of the most passionate and determined teams in the league – an environment I love being a part of and I’m grateful to be able to contribute to what I hope will be a very successful season ahead.”
Details of further contract renewals at London City Lionesses are expected to be announced in the coming days.
