London City Lionesses defender Grace Neville has agreed a new contract with the Barclays Women’s Championship club for next season.

The 22-year-old former England youth international is the fourth London City Lionesses player to sign a new deal with the club. The Pride announced the news via an update on their official club website this evening.

Neville has been with London City Lionesses since the very start of their journey in 2019. The player has made 28 appearances for the Dartford-based club in the second tier, scoring one goal. Injury, illness and competition for places resulted in the 2021/2022 campaign being a tough one for the full-back but she cemented her place in the side in the final weeks of the season. Neville will now be looking to go into next season with some personal momentum.

After signing her new deal with The Pride, Neville said “I am extremely pleased to sign for a further year at London City Lionesses.

“I’ve been a part of this club from its inception and I’m extremely excited for the season ahead which will make my fourth season at the club. The club has gone from strength-to-strength and it has been a pleasure to have been a part of its journey.

“I know that under Mel (Phillips) and the coaches, I can continue to develop as a player and I cannot wait to be reunited with my teammates and London City family.

“I’m excited for the season ahead and look forward to seeing you all at Princes Park.”
