Highly-rated Manchester City forward Jess Park has joined the club’s Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Everton on a season-long loan arrangement.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official club press release from Everton this evening.

The 20-year-old England youth international has spent the last five years with Manchester City. The player enjoyed her most successful season to date last season but she needs to be playing week in, week out, something that parent club Manchester City could not offer. The midfielder appeared in 13 Barclays Women’s Super League matches for The Cityzens, earning rave reviews for some of her bright performances. Park now seems likely to play an important role in her year with Brian Sørensen’s Everton side.

After completing her move to Everton, Park said “I’m really excited for the season.

“Historically, this is a club known for developing young players – which I am – and I’m looking forward to being part of that process. I’ve played alongside some of the girls who have come through the ranks here like Jill Scott and Izzy Christiansen.

“I’m just really excited to meet the team and get started.”

Park is new Everton boss Sørensen’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
