Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of former Birmingham City forward Veatriki Sarri on a two-year deal.
The Seagulls announced the news just a short time ago via a post on their official club website.
Sarri joins Brighton & Hove Albion on the back of an 18-month spell with Birmingham City. The Greek international is a hard-working player who can operate both in midfield or in attack. She netted three goals in 21 appearances for former club Birmingham City in last season’s Barclays Women’s Super League, although she was unable to help the Blues to avoid relegation to the second tier. Birmingham City wanted to keep Sarri but she instead opted to stay in the Barclays Women’s Super League by joining Brighton & Hove Albion.
After completing her move to The People’s Pension Stadium, Sarri said “Brighton is a club with great ambitions, I am really excited to be a part of the club
“From the first time I spoke with Hope (Powell), I got a good understanding of where the club wants to go.
“Having played against Brighton, you know they’re a very organised team. It’s an honour to be here.”
Sarri is Brighton & Hove Albion’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
