Arsenal have confirmed the news that more than 20,000 tickets have been sold for their North London derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium next month.

The Gunners face The Lilywhites in N7 on Saturday 24 September. The fixture will be Arsenal’s first of the season to be played at the Emirates Stadium.

Tickets for the thrilling derby clash have been on-sale for a couple of weeks and Arsenal have informed FAWSL Full-Time that more than 20,000 have now been snapped up. The North Londoners have witnessed a real surge in sales over the course of the last week off the back of England’s success at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. With the best part of two months to go until the match, there is every chance that Arsenal and Spurs could run out to a sold-out Emirates Stadium.

It is Arsenal’s North London rivals Spurs who currently hold the Barclays Women’s Super League’s attendance record. The Lilywhites attracted 38,262 fans to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their home North London derby against The Gunners back in November 2019. That record has not since been broken, however, that is likely to change this season with women’s football becoming more popular than ever before.

Tickets for the first North London derby of the season remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
