Arsenal forward Nikita Parris has joined the club’s Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Manchester United on a two-year deal.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news earlier today via an official club press release from Manchester United.

Parris moves to the Leigh Sports Village after spending just one season at Arsenal. She made 18 appearances for The Gunners in last season’s Barclays Women’s Super League but just five of those outings came as starts. Despite restricted game for Arsenal, Parris still made the England squad for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 and she ended the tournament with a winner’s medal.

After completing her move to Manchester United, Parris said “It feels unbelievable to be here. It’s been quite a summer and this tops it off. Manchester United is an historic club who are making big movements in the WSL and I can’t wait to be a part of our future success.

“With my winning mentality in matches and training, I want to help this team move forward and grow. I’m not the only new signing this summer, which shows the intention of the club to do exactly that. I’m so happy to be here and can’t wait to get started.”

Parris becomes Manchester United’s sixth summer signing.
