Coventry United have announced 11 additions to their playing squad on what has been a manic day of activity at the Butts Park Arena.
The Red and Greens went into the day with just seven players contracted to the club for the 2022/2023 season, however, they have ended it with 18 players now on their books after new boss Lee Burch put the finishing touches to his squad.
Defensive midfielder Fran Orthodoxou and attacker Keeley Davies have both signed new deals with Coventry United after representing the club last season.
In terms of new additions, head coach Burch has made nine signings with his office being a hub of activity in the last 12 hours.
Attacker Meesha Dudley-Jones was the first player through the door following a spell with Bridgwater United. She was quickly followed by midfielders Ebony Wiseman and Rosetta Taylor, the pair have previously been playing overseas in the United States and Spain.
Former Wolves defender Hayley Hoare was next to sign on with Coventry United before well-travelled midfielder Simran Jhamat sealed her return to the club. The signings got better and better for the Warwickshire side throughout the day with full-back Evie Gane next to sign on the dotted line before former Chelsea and Birmingham City defender Arabella Suttie was unveiled.
Defenders Megan Alexander and Jodie Bartle were the final players to be announced at the end of a crazy day at Coventry United, the latter securing a return to the club following a spell north of the border with Celtic.
With new Coventry United boss Burch now having a full compliment of players onboard for the 2022/2023 season, all eyes turn to Sunday’s opening fixture against Bristol City at the Butts Park Arena.
