Lewes have completed the signing of midfielder Lauren Heria following a spell with FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club London Bees.

The Rookettes announced the news this morning via a post on their official club website.

Heria made 24 appearances for The Bees in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division last season while she netted four goals. No player made more league appearances for London Bees last season than Heria with the midfielder playing an important role for the club. She will now be aiming to make the step up to elite football in the Barclays Women’s Championship with Lewes.

After joining The Rookettes, Heria said “I love the values of this club, and it’s a community I really want to be a part of. When the opportunity came to trial for the team, it was a no-brainer to come down.

“Lewes is a club that has a lot of values and I know quite a lot of the staff off the pitch as well. This club has a lot of value in women’s sport and community, and Lewes aligns really well with who I am.

“I really want to be in this league – it’s been my drive for a long time. Now I’ve got the opportunity, it’s about working as hard as I can and support the team.”

Heria has become the eighth signing of the summer at Lewes.
