Chelsea midfielder Guro Reiten has signed a three-year contract extension with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Chelsea this morning.
Reiten joined Chelsea in summer 2019 and she has gone on to be a big hit at Kingsmeadow. The Norwegian international has won eight trophies with The Blues including three consecutive Barclays Women’s Super League titles. After initially occupying a central midfield role for Chelsea, Reiten has adapted to play in the wide areas and has gained rave reviews for her performances.
The midfielder is a key member of the Chelsea side and news of her new deal will be welcomed by everyone connected with the club.
After signing on again at Kingsmeadow, Reiten said “I’m so happy to be extending my time at Chelsea for three further years. We’ve already achieved so much during my time here at the club and I really can’t wait to see what we can do next.
“A big thank you to all the fans, they have been a huge support throughout, and I look forward to seeing them all this weekend ahead of our new season.”
Reiten is the sixth Chelsea player to sign a new deal with the club this summer.
