Coventry United have announced the signing of teenage midfielder Olivia Rabjohn on a dual-registration basis.
The Red and Greens announced the transfer via a post on their official club Twitter account just a short time ago.
The youngster is set to get her first taste of regular first team football with Lee Burch’s side after being on the fringes of the senior squad at Aston Villa.
Rabjohn has come through The Villans’ youth ranks after joining the club from their Second City rivals Birmingham City. The player made her senior debut for Carla Ward’s side in a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United in last season’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup group stage. The midfielder has also been named amongst the substitutes for Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures for both Birmingham City and Aston Villa, although she is yet to get a taste of top flight football.
Coventry United head coach Burch has now made 13 additions in the summer transfer window. Rabjohn offers The Red and Greens another option in what is a relatively small squad.
The youngster is expected to be named in the Coventry United matchday squad for their second Barclays Women’s Championship game of the season against Crystal Palace at Hayes Lane on Saturday evening.
