Liverpool midfielder Missy Bo Kearns has signed a new contract with the club.
The Reds announced the news via an update on their official club website just a short time ago.
Kearns is a graduate of the Liverpool academy system and she made her senior debut for the club back in early 2019. The player scored four goals in 19 appearances as Liverpool eased their way to the Barclays Women’s Championship title last season. Kearns will now be looking forward to challenging herself in the top flight with The Reds once again this season.
After signing her new contract, Kearns said “I’m so excited that my hard work has paid off and I’ve got a new contract. It’s time to kick on now in the top league, do what I can for the team and hopefully I can do well.
“Since Matt’s (Beard) come in, I’m improving every single week and I’m excited to work with him again. Just playing you gain confidence all the time, playing with better players in training and I love playing with these girls.
“I’m improving and I’m going to be tested even more this year but I’m excited for it because if you want to be one of the best you have to play against the best.
“I’m getting pushed every single day, we’ve got experienced players in the team, we’ve got very good young players. It’s competitive every day on the grass.”
Liverpool start the new Barclays Women’s Super League season with a fixture against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Sunday.
