Arsenal begin their participation in this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League on Tuesday evening when they face Ajax at the LV Bet Stadium in Boreham Wood.

After finishing last season in the runners-up spot in the Barclays Women’s Super League, The Gunners come into this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League at the Round 2 stage. Arsenal have been paired with the top unseeded team in their side of the draw, Ajax.

Arsenal go into the first leg of their Round 2 tie with no injury concerns. Head coach Jonas Eidevall could opt for some squad rotation with a big North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium on the horizon. Should the Arsenal boss decide to make changes, the likes of Lotte Wubben-Moy, Steph Catley, Jordan Nobbs and Lina Hurtig could come in.

Ajax had to come through two Round 1 ties to reach Round 2. The Dutch club defeated Swedish club Kristianstads DFF and German side Eintracht Frankfurt in one-off games. Head coach Suzanne Bakker could keep faith with the side which eased to a 4-0 victory over Fortuna Sittard in the Azerion Eredivisie Vrouwen on Friday evening.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League Round 2 first leg tie between Arsenal and Ajax kicks-off at 7.30pm on Tuesday evening. Tickets are on general sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
