Aston Villa and Everton will look to build on their solid starts to the new Barclays Women’s Super League season when they meet at The Poundland Bescot Stadium on Saturday.

Both sides have six points on the board and the winners of tomorrow’s match will move joint-top of the table, albeit for a matter of hours.

Aston Villa go into this weekend’s match without the services of long term absentees Meaghan Sergeant, Remi Allen, Simone Magill, Ruesha Littlejohn and Emily Gielnik. Head coach Carla Ward also confirmed that goalkeeper Hannah Hampton remains sidelined with a head injury. Anna Leat is again set to deputise in goal.

Everton travel to the Midlands in good shape following last weekend’s fixture against reigning Barclays Women’s Super League champions Chelsea. Manager Brian Sørensen has no new injury concerns to contend with. Long term absentee Nicoline Sørensen is back on the training pitch and will return to fitness in the coming weeks while the pregnant Toni Duggan is the only other player who is unavailable for selection.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Aston Villa and Everton is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Card only turnstiles will be in operation at The Poundland Bescot Stadium.
