Chelsea will be hoping to continue their recent momentum when they travel to Broadfield Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Since The Blues’ shock opening day defeat at Liverpool, they have won their last four matches in all competitions. The South West Londoners most-recently defeated French club Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in a UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage match in midweek.

Brighton & Hove Albion were handed a difficult start to the season with three of their opening four games being against sides from last season’s top four. The Seagulls have been defeated by Arsenal and Manchester United but they will be hoping to bounce back against Chelsea.

Options have been limited for Brighton & Hove Albion manager Hope Powell in recent weeks but she does now have Rebekah Stott and Megan Connolly available for selection following injury. Midfielder Maisie Symonds remains sidelined as she looks to complete her recovery from a serious illness.

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes continues to rest at home following her emergency hysterectomy. Assistants Denise Reddy and Paul Green are overseeing first team matters in Hayes’ absence. The Blues will check on the health of forward Fran Kirby in the lead up to the match with the player having been ill. Jelena Čanković is doubtful while Melanie Leupolz is still on maternity leave.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea kicks-off at 6.45pm on Sunday evening. Very limited tickets remain and can be purchased by clicking here.
