Manchester United will be hoping to maintain their position at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table when they take on struggling Leicester City at The King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Marc Skinner’s Red Devils find themselves at the league summit courtesy of a better goal difference than their nearest rivals. This weekend sees Manchester United face bottom club Leicester City, a side who have maybe not got the points that their performances have deserved in the opening weeks of the new season.

Leicester City manager Lydia Bedford does not have any fresh injury concerns ahead of her side’s latest match. The Foxes remain without long term absentees Hannah Cain, Lachante Paul and Jess Sigsworth while goalkeeper Demi Lambourne faces a late fitness test. Bedford could opt to make one or two changes to her starting XI with the likes of Demi Vance, Abbie McManus, Molly Pike and Natasha Flint pushing for recalls.

Manchester United head coach Skinner has a number of injury concerns to contend with. Youngster Grace Clinton is unavailable while the game comes too soon for England international forward Alessia Russo. Aoife Mannion continues to build her fitness on the training pitch following her long term injury but is not ready to return. The Red Devils will assess Hannah Blundell and Ona Batlle in the lead up to matchday.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Leicester City and Manchester United kicks-off at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
