Chelsea will be aiming to make it two wins out of two in the UEFA Women’s Champions League’s group stage when Albanian side KS Vllaznia are the visitors to Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening.

The Blues put in an heroic performance in their opening group match as they defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 at the Stade Jean-Bouin and the South West Londoners will now fancy their chances of collecting three points against group minnows Vllaznia in their second game.

Chelsea’s General Manager Paul Green confirmed in the pre-match press conference that forward Fran Kirby will be available for selection. The England international has made a full recovery from a recent illness and is now set to return to the side. Serbian midfielder Jelena Čanković continues to be ruled out by injury while Melanie Leupolz is on maternity leave.

Vllaznia were defeated 2-0 by Real Madrid on Matchday 1, they held the Spanish giants for more than 50 minutes before conceding. The Red and Blues were missing Albanian international defender Arbenita Curraj for that match while forward Jehona Shala was also not a member of the squad. The condition of those two players is not currently known.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage fixture between Chelsea and Vllaznia kicks-off at 8pm on Wednesday evening. Tickets remain available and can be purchased by clicking here.
