European champions England will take on South American champions Brazil in the Women’s Finalissima 2023 at Wembley Stadium.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via a media update from The Football Association this afternoon
The game was always expected to take place at Wembley but the venue has today been officially confirmed. The match will be staged on Thursday 6 April 2023 and will kick-off at 7.45pm.
The match has been organised as part of the long-standing partnership between UEFA and CONMEBOL and will celebrate England’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 success along with Brazil’s fourth consecutive Copa América Femenina title.
Speaking following the announcement, England head coach Sarina Wiegman said “The great games keep on coming for us. This time, we have the opportunity to welcome Brazil to Wembley and it will be another big moment after the EUROs and USA match.
“Like us, they will be thinking about the World Cup next summer. This is a chance to again test ourselves against another top 10 team in the world, an opportunity to win another trophy and give our fans something special to watch, hopefully in a packed-out Wembley.”
Tickets for the Women’s Finalissima 2023 will go on sale on Monday 31 October at 10am and can be purchased by clicking here. Ticket prices start from just £15 for adults and £7.50 for those aged 16 and under.
