Uncapped duo Maya Le Tissier and Katie Robinson have been selected in the latest England squad for the upcoming November camp.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the latest England squad selection via an official press release from The Football Association just a short time ago. The Lionesses will face Japan and Norway in international friendly matches at the Pinatar Arena in Spain later this month.
Centre-back Le Tissier has been in excellent form for her new club Manchester United. She has helped The Red Devils to record five consecutive clean sheets and five straight wins in this season’s Barclays Women’s Super League. Brighton & Hove Albion forward Robinson has been called-up after being one of her side’s most impressive performers in the opening weeks of the season.
In other news, Manchester United forward Alessia Russo returns to the squad after overcoming a recent injury while Niamh Charles and Jordan Nobbs have also been included. Captain Leah Williamson again misses out on selection through injury.
England face Japan in their first friendly fixture on Friday 11 November (kick-off 7pm) before taking on Norway on Tuesday 15 November (kick-off 7pm).
