All of England’s opponents at next year’s Arnold Clark Cup have now been revealed.
The Lionesses will go into the second edition of the international friendly tournament as holders after winning the inaugural event back in February. Sarina Wiegman’s side went through the tournament unbeaten as they went on to lift the trophy.
The tournament organisers have been revealing England’s opponents for the 2023 Arnold Clark Cup over the last 48 hours and details of the final line-up are now complete.
It has been reported that the Lionesses will take on South Korea, Belgium and Italy in February in the latest edition of the tournament. All three invited nations will be making their debuts at the Arnold Clark Cup. England will be expected to retain their crown with all three opponents being ranked below them in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings. Italy are the highest-ranked opponent in 14th place while South Korea are 17th. The final nation Belgium are ranked 20th in the world. Like England, South Korea and Italy will participate at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Further details regarding fixtures, dates, venues and tickets are expected to be announced in due course. Matches are again set to be staged at stadiums around the country.
