Arsenal defender Lotte Wubben-Moy has been ruled out of England’s international friendly against Norway with a minor muscle injury.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via a media update from The Football Association this morning.

It is understood that Wubben-Moy will not be risked as a precaution with the defender set to participate in some important matches for her club between now and the Christmas break. Wubben-Moy has left the England camp and has returned to Arsenal for treatment.

England face Norway on neutral territory at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain in their final fixture of a hugely successful 2022. The Lionesses defeated the same opponents 8-0 in Brighton on their way to winning the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 in the summer. Norway are now under different management and are playing a different style than they did when the two sides last met.

This evening’s fixture is the second of an international friendly double-header for England. The Lionesses also faced Japan at the Pinatar Arena on Friday evening and they won that match 4-0 thanks to goals from Rachel Daly, Chloe Kelly, Ella Toone and Jess Park.

England’s international friendly match against Norway at the Pinatar Arena is scheduled to kick-off at 7pm.
