Arsenal will be hoping to make it three wins out of three in the UEFA Women’s Champions League’s group stage when they take on Italian club Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin this evening.

The Gunners have beaten both European champions Lyon and Swiss club FC Zürich so far and Jonas Eidevall’s side now have a victory on Italian soil in their sights, although that challenge will be far from easy against an ever-improving Juventus team.

Juventus go into the match without the services of Icelandic international midfielder Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir who picked up an injury in training this week. Swedish international defender Amanda Nilden remains sidelined as she continues to recover from surgery on her foot.

Arsenal head coach Eidevall has a number of injury concerns to contend with. Defenders Rafaelle Souza, Leah Williamson and Teyah Goldie are not yet fit to return while The Gunners have lost the services of England’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 star Beth Mead for the long term with the player having ruptured her Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). Kim Little and Lina Hurtig are also out with significant injuries.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage fixture between Juventus and Arsenal at the Allianz Stadium kicks-off at 8pm.
