Vitality Women’s FA Cup holders Chelsea will face Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Liverpool at Kingsmeadow in the fourth round of this season’s competition.

The draw for the fourth round took place live on the FA Player this evening. The balls were drawn by former professional players Anita Asante and Jenna Schillaci.

Chelsea’s meeting with Liverpool is arguably the Tie of the Round. The Blues fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to The Reds at Prenton Park on the opening day of the new league season and Emma Hayes’ side will be out for revenge. The only other all-Barclays Women’s Super League tie sees bottom club Leicester City host Reading.

In other notable ties, Manchester City have been drawn at home to either Sheffield United or Nottingham Forest while Arsenal will play either Leeds United or Stoke City at the LV Bet Stadium. Manchester United have been drawn away to either Blackburn Rovers or Sunderland.

A number of third round ties will be completed over the course of the upcoming weekend and the weekend of 7-8 January 2023 following several weather-related postponements yesterday. The fourth round ties will then be staged over the weekend of 28-29 January 2023.
