FC Nordsjælland midfielder Kathrine Kühl is thought to be close to becoming an Arsenal player.
Rumours linking the 19-year-old Danish international with a move to North London have been gathering pace throughout this week and Danish broadcaster TV3 Sport are now suggesting that a deal is virtually signed and sealed. It has been suggested that all parties have agreed on the transfer and it could be just a case of getting the final paperwork over the line.
Kühl is one of the most highly-rated players to come out of Denmark in recent times. Despite her young age, she already has 21 senior international caps to her name and has scored her first goal for the Danish national team. Kühl was a member of the Denmark squad which competed at the UEFA Women’s EURO in England over the summer.
At club level, Kühl has been heavily used by FC Nordsjælland over the last two-and-a-half seasons. The midfielder won the Danish Women’s Cup with FCN in 2020 and she will be hungry for further success in the domestic game.
Kühl is expected to be one of a handful of signings to be made by Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall in the upcoming transfer window. The Gunners boss has confirmed that the club will be busy in the transfer window, especially given the injuries sustained by key players.
