Coventry United have completed the signing of highly-rated winger Morgan Cross.

The Warwickshire club announced the transfer via a post on their official club Twitter account this afternoon.

Cross is a former youth international for the Scottish national team. She has represented her country at various youth levels up to and including Under-17 level.

The Dunfermline-born midfielder was on the books of the Central Girls Football Academy as a youth where she won a number of personal and team accolades. Cross has furthered her development in the United States within the college football system. The winger spent a significant period with the South Alabama Jaguars.

Cross has now returned to the UK and she will be hoping to prove her worth in the elite game with Coventry United. The player has a keen eye for goal and she will be hoping to play her part in helping fire Coventry United off the bottom of the Barclays Women’s Championship table.

Coventry United head coach Lee Burch has now added two attacking players to his squad during the current transfer window. Burch has also brought in Republic of Ireland forward Eleanor-Ryan Doyle on a loan deal from Birmingham City.

Burch’s side return to action after the mid-season break with a Barclays Women’s Championship fixture at Bristol City on Sunday.
