Manchester United have completed the signing of Norwegian international midfielder Lisa Naalsund.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official club press release from Manchester United this afternoon. The player has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Barclays Women’s Super League leaders.

Naalsund joins The Red Devils from Norwegian Toppserien club SK Brann. The 27-year-old has been with SK Brann since 2019. Prior to that, she spent a lengthy period with Arna-Bjørnar.

On the international stage, Naalsund made her senior debut for the Norwegian national team in June 2021. The player has gone on to collect nine caps for her country. The midfielder was set to represent Norway at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 but she picked up an injury before the tournament which ruled her out.

After completing her move to Manchester United, Naalsund said “Manchester United is a great football club and I’m very excited to be here. The club is full of nice people and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the amazing fans. It’s great to come to a club that has everything to play for this season – I love that. It’s going to be great!”

Naalsund becomes Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner’s third signing of the January transfer window following the recent additions of Jayde Riviere and Estelle Cascarino.
