Aston Villa midfielder Olivia McLoughlin has re-joined former club Birmingham City on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
The Blues announced news of the deal via an update on their official club website just a short time ago.
McLoughlin previously spent the early days of her youth career on the books at Birmingham City before switching her allegiances to the claret and blue of Aston Villa. The midfielder has gone on to break into The Villans’ senior team. She has made 13 appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions this season.
It is starts that McLoughlin is currently lacking at Aston Villa and the player will now hope to have the opportunity of increased game time whilst at loan club Birmingham City.
McLoughlin joins a Birmingham City side that have been a little unpredictable at times this season. Darren Carter’s side have recorded some exceptional results, however, a slip up has never been too far away. The midfielder will be hoping to bring some more consistency to the team between now and the end of the season.
Birmingham City are next in action on Sunday when they travel to The Dripping Pan to face a Lewes side that are currently managed by former Blues boss Scott Booth. McLoughlin could make her senior debut for the club in that match.
