Coventry United defender Arabella Suttie has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Huddersfield Town on loan.

The Terriers announced news of the deal via a post on their official club Twitter account this afternoon.

Suttie joined Coventry United on a free transfer last summer after overcoming an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury which she sustained at her former club Birmingham City. The defender has made just one appearance for The Red and Greens this season with the player having to be patient in her long battle to regain full fitness.

The full-back needs some game time to rebuild her match sharpness and it has today been announced that she has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Huddersfield Town on loan. Suttie will spend the remainder of the season in West Yorkshire.

Suttie came through the Chelsea academy system before joining Birmingham City at the start of last season following a successful trial. The youngster was injured in the opening game of the season at Tottenham Hotspur and she has faced a gruelling battle to return to a position where she can play regular football once again.

Huddersfield Town could offer Suttie her debut when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Women’s National League Cup on Sunday.
