Sheffield United goalkeeper Nina Wilson has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Wolves announced the signing of the young keeper via a post on their official club Twitter account this afternoon.

Wilson, who joined Barclays Women’s Championship club Sheffield United ahead of the 2021/2022 season, extended her contract at Bramall Lane by an additional year last summer. Despite not playing any minutes in the league this season, Wilson has played a handful of matches in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup and Vitality Women’s FA Cup for The Blades.

Former Sheffield United head coach Neil Redfearn commented in the summer that Wilson has the right mindset and has everything in front of her, so there’s no doubting the fact that the keeper will be looking to impress in the West Midlands.

Wolves currently sit in second position in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division table and the club will be a great place for Wilson to compete with the likes of Shan Turner and Bec Thomas for the goalkeeping position.

The youngster will wear the number 44 shirt for Wolves and she links-up with the squad as they look to progress into the semi-finals of the FA Women’s National League Cup this weekend.
