Manchester City will be hoping to take another step towards the Vitality Women’s FA Cup final when they travel to Bristol City to contest a fifth round tie on Sunday afternoon.
The Cityzens were Vitality Women’s FA Cup runners-up last season and Gareth Taylor’s side will be eager to go one step further this year and regain the trophy. Manchester City have already beaten their latest Vitality Women’s FA Cup opponents Bristol City, The Cityzens were 6-0 winners at Ashton Gate in a FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup quarter-final tie last month.
Bristol City go into the match without the services of long-term absentees Brooke Aspin and Chloe Mustaki while midfielder Elysia Boddy is also out. The current condition of full-back Lia Cataldo is not known.
Manchester City head coach Taylor has confirmed that top scorer Khadija Shaw is fit to play this weekend while Esme Morgan could also be involved following injury. Taylor will check on the condition of the players who have been away on international duty in the lead up to the match.
