Ticket sales for this season’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup final have now reached 40,000.

The Football Association announced the news this afternoon via a post on the tournament’s official Twitter account.

The Wembley showpiece is always one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures in the calendar and the 2022/2023 edition promises to be no different with fans snapping up tickets in their thousands. Last season’s final between Chelsea and Manchester City attracted a record attendance of 49,094 and with more than 40,000 tickets having already been sold for this year’s final, it seems highly likely that another record will be set.

Following the conclusion of the eight fifth round ties at the weekend, the attention now turns to the quarter-finals. The draw was conducted last night and saw the four higher-ranked clubs handed away fixtures in their respective ties. Manchester United must travel to The Dripping Pan to take on second tier Lewes while Chelsea go to Reading. Manchester City travel to Aston Villa for what could be the most tightly-contested quarter-final tie while second tier club Birmingham City host Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 2022/2023 Vitality Women’s FA Cup final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 14 May 2023. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
