The destination for the first piece of domestic silverware of the season will be determined on Sunday afternoon when Arsenal and Chelsea contest the 2022/2023 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final in front of 25,000 fans at Selhurst Park.
Chelsea have featured in the last three FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup finals, winning two of them, while Arsenal have more trophy wins than any other club in the history of the competition.
Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall is not expected to have any fresh injury concerns ahead of his side’s latest match. The Gunners remain without the services of long-term absentees Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead. Forward Lina Hurtig is expected to be available while goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo has a chance of making the squad.
Chelsea manager Emma Hayes continues to be without Pernille Harder who is recovering from surgery while Kateřina Svitková also remains sidelined with her injury. Forward Fran Kirby continues to receive medical support on her knee injury and she will not be available for selection this weekend.
