Arsenal will be hoping to continue their recent return to form when Reading provide the opposition at the LV Bet Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Gunners made a winless start to 2023 in the Barclays Women’s Super League, however, Jonas Eidevall’s side recorded a 2-0 victory over Liverpool in midweek on the back of lifting the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup last weekend. Arsenal’s latest opponents Reading recorded a crucial 2-1 win over West Ham United last time out, a result which has hauled them away from the relegation zone.

Arsenal head coach Eidevall will again be without the services of attackers Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema with the pair currently in the early stage of recovery from Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries. Defender Steph Catley is also out but Lina Hurtig and Sabrina D’Angelo could be available for selection.

Reading manager Kelly Chambers is not thought to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with ahead of her side’s latest match. The Royals continue to be without the services of experienced defender Deanna Cooper while youngster Tia Primmer is also out.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Arsenal and Reading kicks-off at 6.45pm on Sunday evening. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
