Manchester United will be hoping to take another step towards a first Wembley appearance when they face second tier club Lewes in the quarter-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup at The Dripping Pan on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils are yet to win a major domestic trophy but it does feel as though they are making progress and it is only a matter of time before they celebrate lifting some silverware. Sunday’s opponents Lewes will be hoping to upset the odds and end Manchester United’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup dreams in what is the Sussex club’s first quarter-final appearance.

Lewes head coach Scott Booth remains without the services of defender Ellie Hack with the player being sidelined for a number of weeks. Other than the absence of Hack, The Rookettes are expected to have good squad availability this weekend.

Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner has no new injury concerns to contend with ahead of his side’s latest fixture. Canadian international full-back Jayde Riviere is The Red Devils’ only absentee with the player still a few weeks away from being in a position to make her debut.

The Vitality Women’s FA Cup quarter-final tie between Lewes and Manchester United kicks-off at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon. All tickets for the match have now been sold.
