PREVIEW: Arsenal v VfL Wolfsburg

Arsenal will be cheered on by 60,000 fans when they take on German club VfL Wolfsburg in the second leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final tie at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

The scores are tied at 2-2 after the first leg at the Volkswagen Arena a little over a week ago and Arsenal fans will be hoping to cheer their side on to qualification for a first UEFA Women’s Champions League final in 16 years back in North London this evening.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has no new injury concerns to contend with ahead of his side’s latest match. Beth Mead, Vivianne Miedema and Leah Williamson are all out for the long-term with Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries while captain Kim Little won’t be seen again this season. Lina Hurtig and Caitlin Foord are not yet ready to return.

VfL Wolfsburg head coach Tommy Stroot has confirmed that forward Alexandra Popp is back in his squad after missing the first leg through injury. The She-Wolves remain without the services of midfielder Lena Lattwein.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final, second leg tie between Arsenal and VfL Wolfsburg kicks-off at 5.45pm. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid unnecessary queues at the turnstiles.
