Arsenal return to Barclays Women’s Super League action for the first time in more than a fortnight when they take on Leicester City at the LV Bet Stadium on Friday evening.
The Gunners have played two games less than the majority of sides in the Barclays Women’s Super League, meaning that they are set for a hectic end to the season.
Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall continues to be without the services of long-term absentees Beth Mead, Vivianne Miedema, Leah Williamson and Kim Little. Defender Laura Wienroither is now also out for a lengthy period with the player having sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury against VfL Wolfsburg. The Leicester City fixture will come too soon for Caitlin Foord but Stina Blackstenius is fit to feature.
Leicester City head coach Willie Kirk will welcome Sam Tierney back into his matchday squad with the player having successfully served a suspension. Long-term absentees Abbie McManus, Shannon O’Brien and Lachante Paul are not yet back to full fitness while Erin Simon and Jess Sigsworth may also be missing once again.
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Arsenal and Leicester City kicks-off at 7.30pm on Friday evening. The match is sold out with no further tickets expected to be made available.
