Chelsea have completed the signing of highly-rated Bristol City defender Brooke Aspin on a four-year deal.

The Blues announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning. Aspin will return to Bristol City on loan for the 2023/2024 season to continue her development.

Aspin has come through the Bristol City academy system and she has impressed for the club at first team level. The centre-back has made 26 appearances for The Robins in the Barclays Women’s Championship, scoring one goal.

The player will get the opportunity to test herself at the top level this season with Bristol City after re-joining the club on loan. She will be keen to show both The Robins and Chelsea what she can do against some world-class opponents.

After signing for Chelsea, Aspin said “It feels amazing, I’ve dreamed of this moment since I was a little girl and to be here right now, I can’t really put it into words.

“I’m excited to learn from the best, the players and staff are world-class and I want to be world-class myself. This is where I want to be and what I want to surround myself with.”

Aspin is Chelsea manager Emma Hayes’ seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
