Crystal Palace have announced the news that midfielder Coral-Jade Haines has left the club to pursue a fresh challenge.
The Eagles confirmed the player’s departure via a post on their official club Twitter account this morning.
Haines has spent the last three seasons with Crystal Palace after joining the club in summer 2020. She has made 59 appearances for the South Londoners in the Barclays Women’s Championship in which she has scored 15 goals. Haines has made a significant contribution to the exciting, attacking brand of football that has been played by Crystal Palace in recent seasons.
Following the conclusion of the 2022/2023 season, Crystal Palace announced their retained and released lists and the futures of eight players were undecided. Haines was one of those eight players and following discussions with the club, the player has opted to move on.
Five members of last season’s squad are yet to be confirmed as Crystal Palace players in 2023/2024. Those players are Polly Doran, Shauna Guyatt, Annabel Johnson, Molly Sharpe and Hope Smith. Goalkeeper Fran Kitching has signed a new contract following positive talks with the club while defender Lizzie Waldie has joined Hearts.
Crystal Palace currently have 11 players contracted to the club for the upcoming season while injured duo Isabella Sibley and Leanne Cowan are continuing to receive medical support. It is unknown whether those two players will return to the pitch with The Eagles.
Coral-Jade Haines has opted to leave Crystal Palace Women after three seasons to pursue a new challenge.
Thank you for everything, Coral-Jade! Everyone at the club would like to wish you well for your future career ❤️💙
