Australian international keeper Micah joins Liverpool

Liverpool have completed the signing of Australian international goalkeeper Teagan Micah from Swedish club FC Rosengård.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds this morning.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a successful career to date which has seen her play her football in her native Australia, Norway and Sweden. Micah was a two-time Damallsvenskan title winner with former club FC Rosengård while she also won the Swedish Cup.

On the international stage, Micah has been capped on 14 occasions by Australia. She is a member of The CommBank Matildas squad for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup.

After joining Liverpool, Micah said “I’m excited to be here. It’s Liverpool Football Club so it’s massive and I’m just really excited for this next chapter in my career.

“Having good chats with Matt (Beard) and Pottsie (Joe Potts) the keeper coach, I got a really good vibe from them, and it’s such a good club with a lot of history to it.

“For me, it was also about getting into the WSL, I know it’s turning into the best league in the world. To be able to compete against the best players in the world is really important for myself, for my career.

“I can just see this club is going places, it’s investing, so it was a lot of good factors coming together.”

Micah becomes Liverpool’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
