Lewes have completed the signing of former Sheffield United defender Grace Riglar on a free transfer.
The Rooks announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
Riglar spent last season with Sheffield United and she made 17 appearances for The Blades in the Barclays Women’s Championship. The full-back has also previously represented Leicester City and Coventry United in the second tier. The 22-year-old was a Barclays Women’s Championship title-winner with Leicester City in 2020/2021.
The defender is solid out of possession and a danger when advancing with the ball and she could be a real hit with latest club Lewes.
Lewes head coach Scott Booth has had a very busy summer in the transfer market so far. The club have now signed seven new players for the 2023/2024 season. In addition to Riglar, Lewes have also acquired the services of Caragh Hamilton, Anna Grey, Maria Farrugia, Sarah Brasero-Carreira, Hollie Olding and Reanna Blades.
Booth is not yet done with his summer recruitment. Lewes have hinted that today will be a very busy day for the club with further new arrivals potentially set to be announced.
The Sussex club are set to begin their sixth season in the Barclays Women’s Championship next month.
