Liverpool have completed the signing of defender Grace Fisk on a free transfer.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds this afternoon.

Fisk joins Liverpool after leaving former club West Ham United earlier this summer. The 25-year-old spent three-and-a-half seasons with The Hammers in which she made 64 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League, scoring two goals.

The defender opted to leave East London in search of a new challenge and it has now been determined that the next chapter of Fisk’s career will be at Liverpool.

After joining The Reds, Fisk said “I’m really happy to be here. I’ve been walking around the city and just getting used to everything. I’m delighted to be here and can’t wait to get going.

“West Ham was my first professional club and is all I’ve known so far really. I’m 25 now and I wanted to make sure my next contract was the right one for me.

“I know Beardy and Russ previously so when I spoke to them, I got a really good feeling.

“Liverpool as a club, as well, is the type of club you get a feeling from and that’s what I got, so everything sort of fitted to come here.”

Fisk becomes Liverpool manager Matt Beard’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
