Reading have completed the signing of midfielder Charlie Estcourt ahead of the new season.

The Royals announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Estcourt started her senior playing career with Reading back in 2015. She spent five years in The Royals first team before leaving the club in summer 2020. The Welsh international has spent the last three years playing her football with London Bees, Coventry United and Birmingham City.

The midfielder has more than 50 games under her belt at Barclays Women’s Championship level and her second tier experience will be vital for new club Reading in the coming season.

After sealing her Reading return, Estcourt said “This club just feels like home.

“It was the club that gave me the chance to follow my dream, I’ve had some really special times here, from making my professional debut to lifting the WSL 2 trophy.

“The club is obviously going through a bit of a transition period now, but I am just so excited to get started and help build a near future at the club.”

Estcourt becomes Reading’s first new signing since the club were relegated to the Barclays Women’s Championship at the end of last season.
