Liverpool goalkeeper Eartha Cumings has joined Swedish club FC Rosengård on a permanent deal.
FC Rosengård announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon. The player has signed a two-year deal with the Swedish side.
Cumings joined Liverpool last summer following the club’s promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. She largely provided cover for first-choice goalkeeper Rachael Laws. Cumings made five appearances in all competitions for The Reds in total while she kept two clean sheets.
With the Liverpool squad boasting plenty of competition for the goalkeeping jersey in the coming season, Cumings has moved to Sweden in a bid to get more game time under her belt.
After completing her move to FC Rosengård, Cumings said “I am very happy to join FC Rosengård. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and kicking off the fall season.”
Cumings has become the fourth goalkeeper to leave Liverpool this summer. Both Rylee Foster and Charlotte Clarke moved on at the end of last season while youngster Faye Kirby has joined SWPL 1 club Aberdeen on loan for the remainder of the year.
Laws and summer signing Teagan Micah are set to battle it out for the number one jersey at Prenton Park.
