Durham midfielder Beth Hepple has signed a two-year contract extension with the club ahead of the new Barclays Women’s Championship season.

The Wildcats announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

Hepple is one of three survivors from Durham’s first-ever senior campaign in 2014; Sarah Wilson and Ellie Christon being the others. Hepple has made 229 appearances for the club in all competitions while she has scored 90 goals.

The player has the blue and white of Durham in her blood and The Wildcats now have two more years to enjoy her qualities.

After signing her new deal, Hepple said “I’m over the moon to be staying.

“I’ve been at the club a long time and the progression we’ve made in the last few years has been amazing.

“I’m really excited to get back out in front of the fans. The club is progressing on and off the pitch each year and the crowds are growing.

“It’s always amazing to play at home, so I can’t wait to see the fans again.”

Hepple is the second Durham player to sign a new deal in the last 24 hours. Tough-tackling defender Dee Bradley also extended her contract with the club yesterday.
