Brighton & Hove Albion forward Lee Geum-min has signed a new contract with the club ahead of the new season.

The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

Lee joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Manchester City in summer 2021 following a successful loan spell at Broadfield Stadium. The South Korean international has made 55 appearances for the Sussex club in the Barclays Women’s Super League to date while she has scored eight goals. Lee’s physicality makes her a real asset to the Brighton & Hove Albion front-line and she will be hoping to be a thorn in the side of opposition defences again this season.

After retaining Lee’s services for an extended period, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Melissa Phillips said “We’re excited that Lee has extended her contract with us.

“She’s a talented player who brings an abundance of energy both on and off the pitch.

“She’s a fantastic asset to the squad with her creativity around the box and ability to stretch the opposition from either midfield or forward.”

Lee becomes the sixth player to sign a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion during the close season. The club have also agreed fresh terms with Chelsea Ferguson, Libby Bance, Maisie Symonds, Emma Kullberg and Julia Zigiotti Olme.
