Manchester United midfielder Hayley Ladd has signed a contract extension with the club which will run until summer 2025.

The Red Devils announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Ladd joined Manchester United in summer 2019 following the club’s promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. She has gone on to make 72 top flight appearances for Manchester United in which she has scored eight goals. Ladd has done a lot of the hard work in midfield and she is arguably one of the unsung heroes of the side. The Welsh international has plenty more to give Manchester United during the next 18 months.

After retaining Ladd’s services for the longer term, Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner said “Hayley is a key leader in our squad and continues to drive us on and off the field. She represents everything a Manchester United player should be, and we’re delighted to see her extend her contract with us.”

Ladd and Manchester United continue their season with a FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup fixture against Leicester City at The Leigh Sports Village this evening. The Red Devils can take a huge stride towards qualification for the quarter-finals with a victory over The Foxes.
