Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Swedish international winger Matilda Vinberg on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The Lilywhites announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
Vinberg joins Spurs off the back of a three-year spell with Swedish club Hammarby IF. The 20-year-old was a Damallsvenskan and Swedish Cup double-winner with her former club in 2023.
On the international stage, Vinberg made her senior debut for Sweden in November 2022 and she has gone on to collect four caps for her country.
After completing her move to Spurs, Vinberg said “It feels amazing to finally be here, I’ve always dreamed of playing in England, in this league. I feel really excited and ready to do this.
“Robert [Vilahamn] is also a reason why [it feels right], it feels good to have a Swedish coach by my side as well.
“I’m a fast player, I have a good left foot, I can go one v one, combine with players and of course, I score goals.
“I always want to do the best that I can, I dream of being the best in the world. I think this is the right step for me to dream big and hopefully, become one of the best.”
Vinberg becomes Spurs boss Robert Vilahamn’s second addition of the January transfer window.
