Chelsea midfielder Lexi Potter has re-joined Crystal Palace on loan for the 2024/2025 Barclays Women’s Super League season.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.
Prior to going back out on loan, Potter has signed a new four-year contract with parent club Chelsea. She has been on the club’s books since she was eight years old and became the youngest-ever female player in England to sign a professional contract a year ago.
Potter returns to Crystal Palace after helping the club win last season’s Barclays Women’s Championship title, along with promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. The 18-year-old made 16 appearances for The Eagles in league competition in 2023/2024, scoring her first professional goal in the 3-2 win against Lewes last November. Despite her young age, Potter showed real maturity in the Crystal Palace midfield last season and head coach Laura Kaminski has shown no hesitation in bringing the player back to the club for a second loan spell.
Crystal Palace have now added seven new faces to their squad for the upcoming season. Potter is the second new arrival from Chelsea with the player joining teammate Jorja Fox at Selhurst Park.
