Blackburn Rovers have announced the signing of attacker Bonnie Davies on a free transfer.
The Lancashire club revealed details of their latest signing via a post on their official club X account earlier today.
The 24-year-old moves to Blackburn Rovers after most recently playing her football in the Australian Ninja A-League for Brisbane Roar. Davies made 10 appearances for The Roar in the Ninja A-League in 2023/2024. She has also previously been registered to play Ninja A-League football with Newcastle Jets.
Davies started out with South Hobart before enjoying spells with Olympia FC Warriors and Heidelberg United. The player was most productive during her time with Peninsula Power where she scored 26 times in 25 Queensland NPL matches. Her goalscoring form attracted interest from the Ninja A-League.
The attacker has already proved that she has the qualities to go far in the game and she will be hoping to shine in her time in England with Blackburn Rovers.
Davies is Blackburn Rovers’ third signing of the January transfer window. In addition to Davies’ arrival at Ewood Park, Everton midfielder Macy Settle returned to the club on loan this week while Manchester United defender Lucy Newell will also spend the remainder of the season with Blackburn Rovers. The trio add some much needed depth to head coach Simon Parker’s squad.
