Charlton Athletic full-back Jodie Hutton has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website just a short time ago.
The 24-year-old has just completed her first season with Charlton Athletic. Hutton joined the South East Londoners last summer after opting to leave the club’s Barclays WSL2 rivals Sheffield United. The player had an excellent maiden campaign at The Valley, impressing both defensively and offensively. She has now been rewarded for a string of solid performances with a new two-year deal.
Hutton is a household name at Barclays WSL2 level. After spending her youth with Aston Villa, the player went on to feature heavily for the club at senior level. She was a member of the side that were second tier champions in 2019/2020. Hutton repeated the feat at Bristol City in 2022/2023 before going on to turn out for Sheffield United the following year.
News of Hutton’s contract extension is a real boost for Charlton Athletic with the club aiming to mount a promotion push in next season’s Barclays WSL2. The Addicks were six points adrift of the league summit this term and they will be keen to close the gap.
